Entrepreneurial Traits | Essential Entrepreneurial Traits

It is not true that successful entrepreneurs are born that way; in fact, anyone can be a successful entrepreneur. However, there are some specific entrepreneurial traits a person must have to be successful in the field of business. Of course, entrepreneurship is not for everyone. But with these particular character traits, you can see if you really have what it takes to succeed in the highly-competitive, world of business.

What are these essential entrepreneurial traits ?

What are these essential entrepreneurial traits that anyone who is interested in starting a business must possess?

1. Independence – This is the most common denominator of all entrepreneurs. They want to seize control of their future; thus they decide to become their own boss instead of laboring under the gaze of a master. An entrepreneur has a strong sense of independence and will march forward with a purpose and that is to earn money through his own means and hard work.

2. Persistence and Determination – The world of entrepreneurship is fraught with both success and failure. An important quality of a successful entrepreneur is the doggedness to continue pursuing his goal despite some setbacks and obstacles that he may encounter on the road. This persistence and determination is fueled by a burning desire to achieve his goal of succeeding in his chosen field of business.

3. Self-Confidence – Along with independence, an entrepreneur possess self-confidence. They believe in their capabilities and makes sure that they will put in their best effort into their particular endeavors and likewise expect the best results from it. The business world is very competitive and is not a place for the half-hearted. Belief in one’s capabilities is very important in achieving any goal – especially in the world of entrepreneurship.

4. Creativity – In the business world, you can not afford to be complacent and un-creative unless you want the competition to move up on ahead of you. Thus, you really have to be very creative – you should be able to create new ideas as well as find new ways to solve problems. By this way, you can make sure that you stay ahead of the competition. Creative people are naturally curious, inquisitive, bright and highly flexible when thinking. They keenly observe their environment and have an eye for spotting new trends that could potentially be a business opportunity.

5. Organized and goal-oriented – An entrepreneur knows the value of organization in a business endeavor. All efforts must be focused towards achieving the goal. A good entrepreneur systematizes every move he/she makes so that less time and other resources are consumed in achieving the goal, yet the goal is the best expected result, nonetheless. A good entrepreneur has the ability to consolidate his resources.

6. Visionary – An entrepreneur has a vision for his future. He/She is guided by this vision in everything he/she in his business endeavor. This vision may be for short, middle or long term, but all visions are to ultimately succeed in expanding one’s business.

7. Risk-taking and Tolerance for Failure– A good entrepreneur realizes that loss and failure are inherent in any business endeavor. Thus, an entrepreneur must always be ready to make calculated risks and face whatever consequences those risks might have. Entrepreneurs must have the courage to face failure and start again despite these setbacks. As in all fields of endeavor, the characteristic of a successful entrepreneur is in never giving up and in picking up the pieces and continuing the journey even if failure momentarily obstructs the way.

8. Perseverance and Hard Work – These are perhaps two of the most important entrepreneurial traits. In the world of business, there can be no real success without perseverance and hard work.

9. Commitment – An entrepreneur will not achieve success if he/she gives up at the first sign of trouble. Commitment to his business and to its success springs from the urge to achieve the goal.

10. Honesty and Honor – Another very important mark of a good entrepreneur is his being honest and honorable in all his business dealings and interpersonal relationships – whether it is between business partners, employees, peers and investors.

So, do you think you have what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur? Make sure you have the above mentioned entrepreneurial traits and qualities and we assure you, you definitely have what it takes to succeed in the world of business.

With eCommerce solutions providing responsive web design platforms, high quality SEO and a wide market base all on a relatively small capital investment, starting an online business has never been easier. Plus, with these conditions perfectly setting up an environment for a lean startup what with the current tough economical climate, coming up with your own business becomes as easy as coming up with an idea, drawing a plan and implementing it to the latter.
Did you know that the average American citizen spends close to an hour driving to and from work with more populous cities such as New York taking twice as much time? Looking at this societal malaise in terms of cash and gas and the amount wasted is insane! Still, these people do not have an alternative route and after all, survival is only for the fittest. So what if you could actually help these people save their money, time and even improve their health? You think it would take a miracle? Not really, this year you could start up a club that saves people from various lifestyle constraints such as traffic jams. Create an alternative way of transport such as jogging or taking a walk home, people are more likely to ditch the traffic for a peaceful walk home when in a club. Better yet, you could introduce the idea to your local municipality and encourage them to back up your idea. With support from the local municipality your start up will unarguably get massive exposure and even potential grants and loans.

Never has Hollywood had such a great influence on society. Blame it on the increased interaction between celebrities and their fans or just the need to escape reality either way, society wants what celebrities have or rather what they endorse. You can take advantage of this by providing products endorsed by celebrities. You can start up a site that is fully focused on jewelry or footwear endorsed by celebrities and top it all off with the latest news and gossip about the celebrities. In order to pull this one off, it would be best to invest on a reliable and effective eCommerce solution (shopping cart software). If the Consumer electronic show is anything to go by, your business is bound to be a success.

With everything going online, you could make the most of your skills by ditching the office and instead offering your services from the comfort of your home. There are companies that need people with skills like yours, all you need to do is approach them in the most presentable manner and you could start earning a hefty pay without even leaving your house. With time, you can expand and hire others creating even more revenue for yourself.

As most of students begin online money making adventures, you will most likely come across a program called Google AdSense countless times. Google AdSense is one of the most popular ways to make money online but what exactly is it?
- It is a large share of income for Google. In Q2 2012, Google reportedly made $3.13 billion, or roughly 27% of their total revenue.
- Publishers receive 68% of the total revenue and Google 32%.
- It is 100% free to be a publisher of Google ads.
- It is by far the most reliable form of advertising on the internet today.
While many people who use Google AdSense will ultimately fail, it is for one reason alone... effort. It is not easy to create a website or blog and put in the necessary hours to make it unique and something that people will want to read. However, once you find that one thing you are passionate about, creating a website will seem less like a side job and more like a hobby and something exciting. If you can get to a point where you care more about updating your website with interesting content, and less about making money, then you will most likely succeed and make a great deal of money through AdSense.
While some of the top publishers in the world earn near a million dollars a year with AdSense, don't expect to be making that much right off the get go. Those users took years of trial and error to determine what works and what doesn't. I can also guarantee you that those people care more about engaging their users than creating income for themselves. However, as a new user, I can say with confidence that you can make yourself a few hundred dollars if you do the work and have a great website that people want to visit.

While you can make nearly $200 a month with a simple blog, if you were to scale up and create a few more targeted blogs you could definitely make a lot more money. As a teen or college student looking to make some money online, it is entirely possible to make a cheap website/blog based on anything you desire, build backlinks and perform some search engine optimization. Best of luck to you and don't ever give up.

Domain Name Selection: Domain name – this is the one that defines you and your business entity in an online world, so it is pretty important to take special care of as once you selected the name and starts working towards making it a brand, it is not easy to change it for one-to-many reason. The domain name will establish your identity on the internet, providing your potential customers as well as surfers an address to come, visit, buy (if you are into an e-commerce business), chat and do a lot more. Remember, selecting a long big name or name other than your proposed business nature does not make any sense as for online public, your domain name is everything, so better select it properly, make sure it will not be so long, as long words often ends in confusion.

You’re done with domain name selection, now what next, the next point to consider is to select hosting provider – youhave the full authority to choose whatever the hosting provider you like, but also see as well as check that which hosting provider fulfils your all needs, say suppose, one hosting provides you guaranteed 99.99% uptime but other not, then what’s the benefit to opt for. Similarly, if one hosting provider provides you 24 by 7 customer care help and other not, then the same thing strikes, it is often quite possible that one offer you better options then from others, but in short, it is you to decide which hosting provider comes up with all what I required for mine online business.
If you are planning to run an e-commerce store, then in most of the cases, you need not to worry about hosting provider thing, as these days; there are plenty of companies out there who are tended to offer you browser-based stores with full support, even more than that, based totally on your requirements. Examples include Shopify, Big Cartel, CubeCart, Monster Commerce, Shopping Q, Actinic,Mals E-Commerce, ClickCartPro and Spreadshirt. These all offers your different plans and pricing you can opt for, plus you need not to worry about any of hosting issue either with them.

Design your online business: You had decided your domain name, selected your hosting provider, set-up everything on basic level, what next now? Now, this is the stage to design your online business. If it is a mere website, then you can simply opt for content management systems like WordPress, Joomla, Drupal and others (there is a huge list).
But, if you are design an online store (e-commerce store), you have to consider how many products you wish to display, the types of products, how many pictures of products you want to display, pricing of items, discounts, shipping and even the ability to input information on your products that may include: item number, category, product ID, description, price, weight (for applicable for shipping rates).
Payment Tools: Online payments, product checkout plays a key role in an online business these days, reason is simple, the internet vendor can’t wait long to get the money for the products they sell out, so in order to make things happening and in quick way, it is very important to set up a payment tool, one single can also work. The vendor can start with services from PayPal and American Express, although there are plenty others who are in the same run, offering the service.
Vendors accept PayPal overseas also giving the vendor an ample choice to make its online business global, offering its full range of services in about 20+ countries. PayPal charges a 3.9 percent transaction fee for international sales, plus another fixed fee based on the currency received. For more sophisticated exchanges you can opt for American Express. And, while doing the business globally do remember that currency rates can fluctuate dramatically and required more complicated accounting.
You are wondering that do I done everything to have the grand opening or still something left, the answer is Yes, there is still something left but this time in marketing and advertising front.
Advertising: You would be definitely in very concise budget, so how you do advertising, as you even can’t neglect it either, you can opt for Google AdWords – one of the good way, but not limited to – the second one you can opt for StumbleUpon Paid Discovery (this one I like most) – as I feel, this one gives more better results as compared to Google AdWords. But, well there are plenty of other ways either you can opt for advertising but all varied totally according to your own budget. Even, more there are sites like buysellads.com, buyads.com – you can opt there, as these sites gives you plenty of sites options together in which you can select for Advertising totally as per your own budget.
Marketing: Done with advertising, but still don’t want to left any stone unturned, so want to give marketing too an equal importance, as an equal importance, you can do this by offering giveaways, discounts, talk with other vendors and ask them to give your product as free or talk with magazines, newspaper and ask them to write about you. There are huge options for this either, but important is how you make the selection. A well selected marketing technique gives you a much better return.

1. Innovative Web-page Backgrounds

Web-page backgrounds used to be simple and minimalistic, but many web designers have already adopted a different approach when it comes to creating the perfect background. Whether a web designer built a website using his coding skills or by using easy tools like google sites, wordpress to build free websites, he would prefer to insert HTML5 videos in the background for the advertisements of various products mostly. Of course, other types of unconventional backgrounds can be seen rather often too.

Plain backgrounds have become a thing of the past, because a more sophisticated background gives you the opportunity to use it as extra ad space or publish some eye-catching visual content there. In our opinion this is one of the trends that will really develop in the next 12 months.

2. Sliders

Sliders are already used in many websites, but we expect that thenumber of sites using sliders will significantly increase in 2015. This simple yet functional design feature gives you the ability to quickly showcase your portfolio by presenting only the most important information. Another advantage of content sliders is that they grab the visitor’s attention instantly. Sliders have been around for a while, but in 2014 the number of sites that took advantage of this great visual element drastically increased, and we expect this trend to continue in 2015.

3. Images on the Homepage

In the past most people avoided using large images on the homepage, but it seems like all this will change during the upcoming year. The saying goes that a picture is worth a thousand words, and this is exactly what this web design trend will try to prove. A single, large image that disappears as soon as the user starts to scroll can be more helpful & convenient than a wall of text.
Some of the largest websites have taken advantage of this trend already, and you can often see large images & advertisements on their homepage – something that was considered unacceptable a few years back.

4. Parallax Scrolling

Parallax scrolling first became popular in the beginning of 2014, but today it is used on more and more websites. This unique effect gives you the ability to create flexible and unique web pages that will certainly pleasantly surprise your visitors with their effectiveness and convenience. This effect works great when it comes to creating single page websites or storytelling. Single-page websites became quite popular in 2014, and we expect this trend to continue in 2015, so prepare yourself for the incoming flood of websites using the parallax scrolling effect

5. Ghost Buttons
Last, but not least – ghost buttons. Ghost buttons are actually a pretty simple thing, but they are becoming more and more widely used. They are minimal, stylish and very easy to create, and usually they are combined with a cool and simple hover animation. We expect them to be used more often in 2015, and we think that they are a great way to end our collection of the top 10 web design trends of 2015. Ghost buttons are used on many websites, but we expect them to become even more popular in 2015. They are easy to create, very appealing to the eye, and they are a great final touch to an overall great web design.

6. Slide-out Menus
Navigational menus are getting better and better with each passing year, and 2015 won’t be any different. This will be the year of slide-out menus – they are convenient, easy-to-use, and give you the ability to show more important content on your website. These menus are also incredibly useful when it comes to optimizing your website’s navigation for mobile devices. Navigation improvement is a must, and it looks like slide-out menus will be the biggest thing to happen to website navigation in 2015.

If you email is not reaching its destination it could be due to many reasons. One of the most common is the fact that someone or many people have labeled your emails as spam and this has landed your email in one of those lists.
A good way to avoid being seen as spam is to add people that you know because some mail codes will check for your listings and this will help you get out of the blacklists.
Safe list: The kind of people that you want to get emails from.
White list: Same as the safe list just another way of calling it.
Black list: The addresses that you don't want to receive emails from. Some of this spammers will use email names that seem familiar to you in order for you to fall for the bait. This is called spoofing and it makes it harder to fight spam, but it can be done if you are careful and pay attention.
Spam score: This means that some software will rate the kind of spam you receive from a specific email. Depending on how high it scores, the email will be blacklisted or white listed. Usually there is a message that asks you if you want the email to be marked as spam or not just in case.
Junk mail: This is basically spam or unsolicited mail. Anything that you did not request or doesn't seem to be a contact you know can be considered as Junk mail.
Junk folder: This is where all your spam emails go to before they get deleted permanently from your storage. This allows you to recover emails that are not spam and accidentally got in that list.
Spam: All unsolicited emails are spam. This is the same as junk mail but spam is the general term for this kind of mail.
Filter your folders and check that you are receiving emails in the right place.
Check the following references for Anti Spam:
AntiSpam works with Outlook Express, Netscape, yahoo and MSN/Hotmail to block unsolicited e-mail before it even makes it to your inbox.
Spam Killer works along with Outlook, Outlook Express, MSN/Hotmail, and POP3 accounts to block spam before it arrives on your inbox.

Outlook also has its own folder that is mean for spam only. It has a very good system that decides what is spam and what is not spam, but the best thing you can do is customize it so that our address is always going to have immediate entry to your mail white list inbox. To allow any address you need to click on "safe senders" and just add the email you want.

An autoresponder is a program which automatically sends an email when a specific piece of information or action is completed.
Within the realms of internet marketing and affiliate marketing, an autoresponder can be a very powerful tool.
1. Create a website or blog - When you create a website or blog it is always for a specific reason. It could be to provide information to people interested in your market niche, or to sell products related to that niche, or to advertise affiliate products for sale, and so on.

CAPTCHA, which stands for "Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart," requires people to enter a randomized code in order to submit an online form. The randomized code is often in the form of distorted, wiggly, or otherwise hard (but not impossible) to read lettering. Spam bots - the automatic email generators favored by today's sophisticated spammers - can't read the randomized code so they can't submit the form.

By itself, this will eliminate a lot of spam. But the decision has to be weighed against with other concerns, such as making it easy for site visitors to contact you. If, like most companies, you decide to include email addresses on your website, install PrivateDaddy. This free, open-source software hides your email address from spam bots while still making it visible to humans. Some web platforms, such as WordPress, even come with a plugin you can install.

·         Turn off comments on your blog
Again, not an easy decision. But like leaving your email address off your website, it can help to reduce spam in the right situations. If you have a very active community of readers who post a lot of legitimate responses, the value of that community will outweigh the inconvenience of any spam that comes through. On the other hand, if you tend to get a small amount of random comments, chances are that many of them will be spam. Turning off comments will eliminate spammers' ability to get through using your blog.

When you subscribe to a newsletter, blog, or other form of online communications, you give that business or organization permission to contact you via email. You may not want to receive what they send you, but technically it isn't spam. So they can - and will - send you stuff until you tell them to stop.
